Duale who was speaking during an interview with Kenya’s leading Television Network, KTN news said that Jubilee will form an all-inclusive government after swearing in of President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta.

“If President Uhuru’s re-election is upheld by the Supreme Court, he will form an all-inclusive government,” he said.

Duale added that the current cabinet is well constituted and has strictly observed regional balance.

“If I take Coast, Western and Nyanza for instance, we have Najib Balala, Judy Wakhungu, Eugene Wamalwa and Rachel Omamo hailing from those regions respectively in the cabinet,” he said.

Mombasa governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi have warned that they will push for Coast to secede from Kenya if Uhuru is sworn in as president.

Luo Nyanza leaders headed by ODM chairman John Mbadi have also threatened to call for mass action and secession thereafter if the government does not move with speed to secure the release of 22 fishermen who were apprehended by the Ugandan police on Monday.

The leaders have also accused the Jubilee government of economic marginalization and regional neglect in the areas perceived to be opposition strongholds.

Governance expert Javas Bigambo has warned that the secession talk might throw the country into a state of imbroglio stating that even the most dictatorial regimes have been victims of secession.

“Austria seceded from Germany during Adolf Hitler’s reign. Secession is therefore not just a talk that should be taken lightly,” Bigambo said.
