The long standing boundary disputes between Waberi and Iftin chief locations may finally have finally gotten a solution, after the influential Garissa Township MP Aden Barre Duale promised to get into the matter and ensure it gets settled.
Speaking on Wednesday after hosting members of the Samawadhal committee, the legislator assured them that he would do all within his disposal to ensure the matter is immediately resolved.
The boundary row has for sometime now raised discontent from the two camps with each claiming possession of the disputed boundary space.
Duale also exploited the forum to drum support for himself in the incoming parliamentary election, also rooting for the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy come next year's elections.
The MP further assured the North Eastern communities that Jubilee government was in the process of initiating more development projects in the area, citing the tarmacking of the road from Kismayo - Municipal Council to Bashaal as a way of opening up the area.
