National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has claimed that National Super Alliance (Nasa) is receiving political rejects who have no support in their backyards.

Speaking in Garissa on Monday during a political rally, Duale insisted that all those who have moved have no influence, and their move does not affect the Jubilee Party in any way.

“I want to tell the Opposition leader that receiving defectors and political rejects won’t help them in any way, do not look for excuses but tell Kenyans what you have for them,” said Duale.

Duale used the chance to drum up support for President Kenyatta’s reelection, urging the locals to vote wisely.

The Majority Leader pointed out some of the projects the government had made in the area, picking out the initiation of Nunow-Modogashe road as one of the main projects.

The vocal MP has been a strong defender of the Jubilee government, attacking the opposition anytime an issue came up.

The MP will come up against Farah Maalim of Wiper Party, in what is expected to be a tough battle between the two political heavyweights.

Maalim has vowed to send Duale Packing come August, saying he has not delivered on his promises.

He urged the locals to ensure they vote peacefully, and remain united even after the elections.

“When they seek your votes please welcome them in peace but tell them that we will vote for Majority Leader who brought us development,” he said.
