In an article penned down in a local daily, Duale stated that party hoppers are political nomads with no developmental agendas.

"Party-hoppers are essentially political nomads. They are in blind pursuit of powerful elective positions. Their thirst for high ranking offices is so overpowering that political ideologies and development agendas mean nothing to them and so swapping parties is just as easy as changing clothing," the Garissa MP issued.

Weeks ago, MPs have been fighting to delete the section that outlaws party hopping as contained in a report by the Joint Parliamentary Committee on electoral reforms.

However, it is quite unfortunate for them since the president has already assented to the bill thus party hopping will be a thing of the past.

In what seems like an advice to seasoned party hoppers, Duale hinted that before joining a party, politicians should carefully study party manifesto, vision and mission , ideologies and philosophy as well as its leadership styles.

"You have to first interrogate every aspect of a party so that you get to know the kind of political ship you opted to sail with," he added.
