The Garissa township member of parliament, Aden Duale, acknowledged the efforts made by his governor honorable Ali Korane.
Speaking on Saturday in Garissa County during the homecoming party of the county secretary, Abdisheikh Muhamed Ali, Duale thanked the governor's administration for the development progress of Garissa county.
"The development process in the health sector and water issue in Garissa county is commendable. I thank governor Ali Korane's administration for making sure wananchi get these basic services, unlike the past," said the leader of the majority in the national assembly.
Though water still remains to be a scarce resource in most parts of the semi-arid county, the governor seems to be making some notable progress in the health sector. Honorable Ali Korane sponsored 59 children with heart-related illness to a cardiac treatment camp in Mai Mahiu.
The county government then catered for their accommodation, travel and medication cost.
Furthermore, Garissa county Referral Hospital together with Heart gift sponsored children with heart complications to undergo free heart surgeries in the United States.
Besides that issue, honorable Duale expressed his delight over the coming together of president Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga terming it as a good move to working together in order to unite the country.
"For the interest of the country and for our people let us now follow the example of the two leaders so that on matters of national interest we speak the same language." The Garissa township MP said.
