Speaking on Saturday at the homecoming ceremony of Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa, Duale claimed that Odinga will back Ruto for presidency.

"We are not worried about Odinga as he is in support of Ruto's presidential ambition and will join us before the elections," said the Garissa town lawmaker.

The event also saw a section of Jubilee leaders call upon, National Super Alliance (NASA) co-chiefs Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula to ditch the coalition and join the ruling party.

Sirisia MP John Walukhe urged the duo to quit NASA and join the rest of the community in forming a stronger front.

"Mudavadi and Wetangula should join us so that as the Luhya community we can fully ensure that Ruto takes over after President Uhuru Kenyatta," he said.
