The National Assembly Majority leader was speaking in Garissa Ndogo during a political Rally.

The Township legislator said he was going to marshal the MP’s once Parliament re-opens on May 9, 2017 and marshal support to pass the two-thirds gender bill.

The president had ordered the law maker to pass the bill in Parliament before the general election.

The bill seeks to balance the composition of elective posts to ensure equality considering gender by not allowing one gender to hold more than two-thirds of the elective positions in government.

“I will rally the MP’s once Parliament re-opens on 9th May 2017 and marshal support for the two-thirds gender bill ahead of the August elections,” said Duale.
