Addressing a press conference at the Jubilee Party headquarters in Pangani Nairobi on Sunday, the Garissa town MP asked Raila to shelve his presidential ambitions and head the electoral body IEBC.

''Raila has become a barrier and opposes everything and every step the IEBC takes. It seems he is more interested to serve in the body than being a politician. Therefore,we will tell him to choose between working for IEBC as either a commissioner or  Chairman," said Duale.

Duale bashed Raila and his opposition team for condemning the amendment set to be tabled in parliament to allow the use of manual voting process as a backup for the electronic one.

Odinga and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi had accused Jubilee Party of using the proposed elections laws to rig 2017 elections.

Opposition team in parliament led by Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang, has vowed to oppose the laws, threatening to spark chaos in the August House should the amendments be tabled.
