Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has proposed where National Resistance Movement (NRM) Kenya leader Miguna Miguna should hold his first rally on after returning to the country.
Miguna who was expected to jet back to Kenya on Wednesday cancelled his return journey and may quicken his travel-back following his appointment as Nairobi Deputy Governor by Governor Mike Sonko.
"We want him to return so that Kenya can unite. Right?" Duale, the Parliament Majority Leader said in a video posted on Twitter.
"In his absence there are Kenyans who are unhappy. Let him be received and let him hold his first rally in Kisumu."
Kisumu where Duale wants the outspoken lawyer to hold his first rally on arrival is his home county.
Miguna was deported back to Canada on March 29 after the government denied him entry into the country at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi after the High Court ordered the government to facilitate his return.
He was deported through Dubai after drama at the JKIA where he had resisted boarding the Emirate Air plane destined to Dubai.
There has been a lot of debate surrounding his deportation with his lawyers Nelson Havi and Julie Soweto arguing that the Immigration department erred by declining to issue Miguna with a new Kenyan passport following High Court's directive. His initial Kenyan passport was destroyed.
