[Photo: Aden Duale]National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale says Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga 'is on trial again courtesy of Article 39 and 40 of the Constitution'.Citing claims of incitement which Raila allegedly said in Kajiado last week, Duale asked the Opposition chief to confine himself to the said section and 'stop his desperate attempt to deny what he said.Duale quoted what Raila reportedly said as indicated below in Swahili."For the record and to jog his memory this is what he said:“Wao wanakuja kuvamia kuvamia mpaka sasa hakuna mashamba kwa sababu ya ufukaraHiyo tunataka kubadilisha tunaweza kubadilisha hiyo ili watu wasiuze mashamba yao , wabaki na shamba Wasiuze. Kule anatoka anatoka kwasababu gani anakuja kwako. Si abaki kule kwao ! si abaki kule kwao ! Hiyo ndio sababu tunasema tarehe nane mwezi wa nane mwaka huu ni siku ya mabadiliko » Odinga’s utterances have nothing to do with resolving the so-called land question in the country that he purports to champion," he said.According to Duale, Odinga called on the Maasai community to exclude and evict 'outsiders' from Kajiado County. "When taken to task, Odinga contrived long, expansive and diversionary expositions that do nothing to reassure Kenyans that Odinga is not advocating ethnic balkanization in the Republic. It is clear that for Odinga, community land rights, historical injustices and devolution are only palatable synonyms for tribal exclusion, 41 versus 1, ethnic clashes and political violence."In a statement, Monday, the Garissa Township lawmaker indicated it was also clear that the entire Nasa cheering leadership subscribe to Odinga's 'dangerous' political philosophy. "Nasa is at war with the ideas of a unified Republic, national unity, the right of Kenyans to own property, live and work in every part of Kenya.""Odinga is at war with Kenya. We urge Kenyans to join together and ensure that we will still have our kin, neighbour, friends, communities and nation and that we are in no danger of losing any to Odinga's monstrous philosophy. No amount of blood is worth Odinga’s thirst for power," read Duale's statement in part.
