National Assembly leader of Majority Aden Duale wants Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua to come clear on whether she support’s president Uhuru’s re-election bid or has other motives.
Duale claims that Karua has not made clear her stand living room for speculations.
According to the Garissa Town MP, Karua has to firmly state her stand and make things clearer to avoid speculations.
The Garissa Town MP also wants Karua to dissolve her Narc Kenya party to officially join Jubilee Party if she had decided to back President Kenyatta’s re-election bid.
Speaking during an interview on NTV on Wednesday, the National Assembly leader of majority said that Karua cannot claim to support Uhuru yet she is not willing to dissolve her party.
“We want to ask Martha Karua to make it clear on her decision to back Uhuru’s re-election bid and also dissolve Narc Kenya to officially join JP,” he said.
Duale said that Karua’s unclear stand has left room for speculations.
On Wednesday morning during an interview on Citizen’s TV Cheche show, Karua said that she cannot reveal on who she will support in 2017.
The Narc Kenya leader said that matters of the ballot should remain a personal secret.
Karua’s statement has already elicited reactions with claims that her move to support Uhuru’s re-election in 2017 might not be sincere.
Several politicians allied to JP want Karua to dissolve her party and join JP if she really supports Uhuru’s re-election bid. The former Justice Minister has announced bid to contest for the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat.
Karua said that she will contest on a Narc Kenya ticket and not JP.
The former Gichugu MP also says that her party will field candidates for all seats except the presidential seat in 2017.
