National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale insists veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga will support Deputy President William Ruto in 2022.
At stopovers in Bomet and Mumias on Saturday however, Ruto stayed clear off politics and instead, calling for leaders to support Jubilee's development agenda.
"Let us focus our minds on transformation of the country, building hospitals, roads and other helpful developments," he said.
During 2007 elections, Ruto was one of Raila's astute soldiers who openly collided with authorities before being rewarded as minister for Agriculture.
And Duale, another former ODM MP, said the veteran leader had sworn allegiance to Ruto in his conversation with him.
"Raila has told me he will support Ruto because he owes us a lot for the support we gave him in 2007," said Duale.
Few miles from Mumias, a defiant Raila told Ugenya residents that his journey to Canaan was unstoppable adding that he will soldier on without cowards.
