He warned Duale against going on with the campaigns as it was disrespectful to the president.

According to the lawmaker, the leaders are openly disrespecting the head of state by campaigning for the second in command, yet they should focus on the big four agenda.

He was speaking during an Akorino sect thanksgiving at Dedan Kimathi grounds in Nyeri.

“It's very very disrespectful for some of my colleagues to campaign for Deputy President William Ruto for the 2022 presidential seat. I am watching them campaigning for him, how disrespectful they are to the president,” he noted.

He also asked them not to campaign for Ruto or any other candidate including Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga. The lawmaker insisted that it is time for the elected leaders to deliver on their promises rather than politicking.

“It’s important to put some of our colleagues on notice and tell you that you are disrespecting the president and this is a message for everybody whether you are campaigning for Raila Odinga, Gideon Moi or anybody who will emerge,” he said.
