Majority leader Aden Dualle and his arch rival Farah maalim buried the hatchet and agreed to work together for the sake of Garissa people.
The duo met on Friday, April 13, at Garissa where they shook hands and agreed to end the protracted political disagrement.
The handshake between the two leaders has raised eyebrows as many beleive that it has to do with the succession politics of president Uhuru, where Dualle is mobilising all the clans in the northe eastern region to back the presidential bid of deputy president, walliam Ruto, in 2022.
The two leaders engaged in a fierce competition for Garissa parliamentary seat in the last election, where the majority leader won the seat.
The Wiper secretary general however, unsuccessfully petitioned the results.
