National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale has declined claims that the North Eastern Region is not safe.
The vocal MP noted that the region is more secure than it has ever been following what he terms as competent security chiefs.
Duale noted that Security Chiefs led by Ambassador Mohamed Salah the Regional Commissioner has improved over the past months.
The vocal leader was speaking at the Intercontinental Hotel when elected leaders and stakeholders met to find solutions to the on-going education crisis in Mandera that have been closed.
“For the first time in the history of Mandera, we have hardworking and diligent security officers led by Regional Coordinator Ambassador Mohamed Salah,” Noted the Township MP.
He noted during the meeting that he will deal with Teachers Service Commission on the cases of education stalemate in the region that has led to a number of schools closed.
He said he will not allow TSC to turn the county into a radicalization and recruitment center when TSC frustrate education in the region.
