National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale has revealed that the National Super Alliance (Nasa) is sharply divided.

Speaking on Monday on Citizen TV, the Garissa Town lawmaker said that the opposition outfit's inability to constitutite its parliamentary leadership was a clear pointer to a divided party.

"Several parliamentary slots are still empty because we are waiting for them (Nasa) to table their nominees.They are even unable to agree on their own internals leadership formation," he said.

" As of today, the only leader that is recognized is Hon John Mbadi (minority leader). They have no whip, no deputy minority leader, no committee chairs because they cant agree on who should assume those positions," he added.

Duale added that whereas they were ready to form a bypartisan approach in parliament it was increasingly becoming difficult with the opposition MPs absence.

A majority of Nasa MPs have not been consistent in attending parliamentary proceedings especially in the wake of a looming fresh presidential elections.
