The Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Aden Duale has said that Jubilee leaders are working on a plan to dismantle National Super Alliance (NASA) before the 2022 general election.
According to Duale, Uhuru’s allies will raid opposition’s stronghold to ensure that its leaders have no influence when that time comes.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with Sunday Nation, the Garissa lawmaker said that one of his duties is ensuring that NASA becomes weaker over time.
He also said that they are fighting hard to ensure that the second in command William Ruto ascends to power in 2022.“But politically speaking and in line with the succession politics of 2022, where our presidential flag bearer will be the DP, we shall work round the clock to act as a catalyst in the disintegration of Nasa. We shall raid their strongholds and turn them into red states,” he said, as quoted by Daily Nation.Ruto, who is expected to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, is likely to face Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka if the opposition’s memorandum of understanding before the August rerun is anything we can go by.
