The Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Aden Duale has explained why NASA leader Raila Odinga is insisting on protests amid the current political stalemate.

According to Duale, Raila’s political career is now over and he is trying to pull the country down with him.

In a column in the Saturday Standard, Dulae said that nit is clear that Raila will not be vying for the presidency due to an MoU he has with other NASA principles.

“And one of the reasons his presidential ambition is no longer feasible is because he entered into a MoU with the other NASA principals.  But he is refusing to go down silently; he is trying to pull the country down with him. It is time he left Kenyans in peace,” said Duale.

The Garissa Township MP further went ahead to urged Raila to live up to his democratic resume.

“Raila should live up to his democratic credentials, own up, spare Kenyans the charade and go into retirement. Kenyans cannot be hoodwinked any further.  It is now abundantly clear that this entire circus we are being subjected to is out of Raila’s frustration after failing in his ultimate dream to attain power,” added Duale.

Raila had earlier announced that the National Super Alliance will take part in demonstrations on October 26 during the repeat presidential polls.
