Speaking during a parliamentary session, the Garissa lawmaker said that the opposition leader has mentored several politicians including himself, adding that he is a happy politician, thanks to the mentorship he received from Odinga.

"I am a happy man because I was inducted into politics by none other than Raila Amollo Odinga.Of course there are people who are scared of Raila Odinga. He is loved and hated in equal measure in our country," Duale added.

Duale also revisited the political journey of the opposition leader including his entry into KANU and the support he accorded Former President Mwai Kibaki during the time he was seeking to ascend to power.

The sentiments come at a time when Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta have vowed to work together to unite the nation.

The political truce of the duo has continued to elicit mixed reactions from both factions.
