National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has said NASA leader Raila Odinga is prepared to pay the debt he owes them.
Speaking over the weekend during the homecoming party of Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa in Mumias, Kakamega County, Duale said Raila owes Deputy President William Ruto and other Jubilee leaders for helping him ascend to power in 2007.
Duale claimed that the NASA leader had said he was ready to pay the debt by supporting Ruto in 2022.
The outspoken Garissa Township MP said Jubilee will not be facing Raila in the 2022 polls, as he will be rallying behind Ruto.
“Raila owes us. Ruto and I supported him in 2007 and he became prime minister. He has told us that he is ready to support William Ruto for the 2022 presidential election,” said Duale.
Duale asked NASA co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, and Musalia Mudavadi to brace for a tough battle in 2022.
“Those who want to face us in 2022 should put their house in order be it Wetangula, Mudavadi or Kalonzo. We will be teaming up with Raila because he will be supporting Ruto,” said Duale.
