National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has exuded confidence that the ruling Jubilee Party will beat Opposition alliance NASA convincingly during the August polls.
Speaking on Sunday during a Jubilee rally in Malindi, the Garissa Township MP claimed that Jubilee would beat NASA by at least three million votes, citing solid support for Jubilee in Meru, Nakuru and Kiambu counties.
The three counties have close to 3.2million registered voters.
“We shall defeat NASA by three million votes," Duale declared confidently.
He further defended the four - year tenure of the Jubilee administration, saying the President Kenyatta-led government has delivered on its key pledges to Kenyans in the run up to the 2013 general elections.
President Kenyatta is set to battle it out with a re-energized and united Opposition during the next general elections.
The Opposition under the banner the National Super Alliance (NASA) is, however, yet to settle on a presidential candidate, with the ticket attracting political heavyweights including: Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (Amani National Congress) and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula of Ford Kenya.
