National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale now says that Jubilee is not ready to discuss electoral reforms with NASA as has been alleged by some opposition leaders.
He was referring to the unity pact that was recently signed by President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief Raila Odinga.
Allies of Raila have insisted that electoral reforms must form part of the dialogue.
“Jubilee is not ready and prepared to discuss electoral justice nor are we prepared to discuss amending the constitution and taking the country through a referendum from a presidential system to a parliamentary system,” said Duale.
Speaking in his hometown of Garissa on Sunday he added that; “what we know and briefed is that the two leaders have come together to create ethnic harmony, ethnic inclusively, to create stability for economic growth, to unite the country after a divisive election and further to help Raila preserve his legacy and make him the statesman that he ought to be,” said Duale.
Duale further hit out at NASA co-principles Musalia Mudavadiand Moses Wetangula who have since embarked on rallies in Western where they have labeled Raila as a traitor who ‘used and dumped them.
“The leader of Jubilee party is President Kenyatta while Raila leads NASA. so when the two speakers I presume they are speaking for the two collations,” said Duale.
“The three, Kalonzo, Wwetangula, and Mudavadi have been babysited for too long by Raila. He has been providing them with milk like small babies. Not that they have realized that he wants to protect his legacy by unifying the people of Garissa, the babies are crying because they have missed the milk because the mother has left,” Duale added.
