Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale has been 'roasted' online by a section of Kenyans after he criticised how female MPs dress in Parliament. Duale on Thursday took issue with female legislators who wear trousers and tight clothes to the chambers. “Mr. Speaker, today I will talk to them but if it goes on, I will file a motion, over the same. Some of the woman MPs wear very tight trousers and clothes,” Duale said.
Some online users immediately attacked the leader of Majority in the National Assembly over his clothes remarks, however, some sided with him as can be seen in the following tweets:
@MarkRimiki said, "Welcome to #Kenya , where guys in#Parliament discuss what clothes women should wear before them.. i.e: after arguing for a raise on their #allowances .. #AdenDuale."Hon. Aden Duale focus on your duties only and keep away from ladies dressing mode that will never benefit common mwananchi, we need developments not Ladies motions," @Alfred254Kenya1 noted. @JogooKano asked, "Is Hon Aden Duale @HonAdenDuale missing women thighs? Why is he against trouser dressing code by female MPs I suspect he is a thigh sniper.""Aden Duale is correct-women shouldn't wear trousers..Have ever seen a man wearing a mini-skirt?Feminism and "equality" has made women think that they can "fight for rights" to the extent of wearing what men wear..stupid,toxic,malicious..Only going to radicalize men miore even,"@sampere_solonka said. @GeshomcSteppa said, "Aden Duale whether they get each other pregnant in there isnt our Business we just want better roads, better(favourable) legislations,Good Schools,Better health care etc.. you were sent to work not discuss Clothes is it the N.A, a party or Fashion Watch.""Aden duale has just expressed in the open, what all real men have been going through internally but avoided speaking it out," @wanyigha noted.
