In a press briefing on Friday at Parliament Buildings, Duale said Raila's allegations are aimed at discrediting the electoral agency, in a wider scheme to negotiate his way into a coalition government.

“Bizarrely and strangely, he is now falsely accusing neighbours from Uganda and Ethiopia of enlisting as voters in Kenya. How far can one lie to get the presidency?” posed Duale as quoted by the Nation.

“The main motive of the Odinga group is to muddy and discredit the elections in an attempt to negotiate a coalition government. It will not happen,”  added the Garissa Township MP.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Opposition chief claimed that the government was registering Ugandans and Ethiopians in the ongoing mass voter registration through the National Intelligence Service (NIS).

The IEBC has since denied the allegations.
