Garissa Township MP, Aden Duale has now stated that the opposition is targeting individuals from the Muslim community.
Duale hinted that he will use his position to defend his Muslim brothers in the IEBC commission whose tenure is being protested by the Cord opposition under the leadership of Raila, Kalonzo and Wetangula.
"When the Nairobi County governor, Evans Kidero was being accused of bribing, Raila stood up and said the law ought to be followed to the latter when dealing with the issue. Same also applied when Judge Philip Tunoi was accused of corruption deals. Why is it now different when it comes to handling the IEBC standoff?" Duale asked.
The sentiments were also seconded by four other legislators from the Muslim fraternity including, Halima Ware of Tana River, Bura legislator, Ali Wario, Saku MP, Rasso Dido and Ijara’s legislator, Ibrahim Abass.
