Garissa Member of Parliament Aden Duale has sent out an urgent message to the public. Through his Facebook page, Duale notified members of the public that someone had created three fake Facebook accounts under his names Aden Duale, Aden Duale, and Duale Aden.The National Assembly Majority Leader further noted that this photo has been put as the profile pictures in the fake accounts.According to the Jubilee legislator, the fake accounts are being used to solicit money from the public.Duale has asked the public not to be duped into sending money. He added that any communication will be channeled on his official Facebook page. "This is to notify the public that someone has created accounts with the names Aden DualeAden Duale Duale Aden and has kept my photo as a profile picture. The accounts are being used to solicit money from the public. Kindly don't be duped in sending money. Any communication should be channeled in this forum. Thank you," the lawmaker posted on his official FB page.
The number of fake accounts on social media is rapidly increasing with the accounts being used to con Kenyans or spread fake news.
