Former presidential candidate Nazlin Umar has revealed that she had been warned about the expose of her love affair with National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale just before it came out exclusively on the Nairobian.
Umar, who has since nodded to the details of the revelation that came out on Friday says she has been in love with Mr. Duale for the last three years and they had been working hard to ensure that the public never got to know about it.
Through a long post on her Facebook page, Umar says her lover (Mr.Duale) had indeed warned her that the information had leaked and was to be published, describing the alert as odd.
“Adan and I have been working together to mitigate media leaks & exposé, including this one which he said he got wind of and oddly warned me about. Indeed he informed me about it just before it came out,” said Umar in her post.
Through the post, Nazlin says the audio recording was real and existed since October 30, when Mr. Duale sent it to her and that the Garissa Town MP’s brother was also in possession of the voice recording which has been the basis of the spilled beans.
“YES, the audio of our conversation is real. It exists. I have it, Duale has it, he sent it to me too on the 30th of October on WhatsApp & his elder brother Ahmed Noor also has it. The media seem to have it too,'' wrote Nazlin.
She described her state as having unattended wounds, given the relationship was now in turmoil with the man who has not once been victim to leaked voice recordings some of which have been exonerated on the basis of the uncertainty in the identification of the person behind the voices.
