National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has taken a swipe at the National Super Alliance (NASA) under the leadership of former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga claiming that the outfit has been admitting political rejects who have already lost support within their home turfs.
Duale, who is defending his seat, spoke in Garissa on Monday during a rally. The lawmaker argued that leaders crossing over to Raila’s side will add no value to his campaigns as he seeks to dethrone President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto from power in the forthcoming general elections.
He challenged Raila, now NASA presidential candidate, to tell Kenyans what he will do for them if he rises to power instead of blaming the current government in his rallies before the August general elections.
“I want to tell the Opposition leader that receiving defectors and political rejects won’t help them in any way, do not look for excuses but tell Kenyans what you have for them,” said Duale.
Duale also asked the residents and politicians from this part of the nation to conduct peaceful campaigns as we head to the elections date.
“When they seek your votes please welcome them in peace but tell them that we will vote for Majority Leader who brought us development,” he said.
