Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has dismissed claims that he engineered the removal of some Jubilee MPs from parliamentary committees.Duale says that the speculation doing rounds on the social media is false.Speaking to journalists in Garissa Town on Saturday, Duale said that those spreading the speculations are out to tarnish his name.Duale said that he is not in charge of appointing MPs to parliamentary committees and that he can not have ill motives to stop people from his own party being appointed to the committees."It is unfortunate that people can use social media to spread lies and malign others," he said. The leader of the majority in the National Assembly further rubbished threats of being impeached over the issue.Duale asked those feeling aggrieved to seek the right channels and address their concerns instead of giving threats that could cause rifts in the president Uhuru Kenyatta led Jubilee Party. There are claims that a section of Jubilee MPs from Rift Valley who were removed from parliamentary committees last week are planning to bring an impeachment motion against Duale who they accuse of allegedly orchestrating their removal from the parliamentary committees.Four MPs were removed from the Parliamentary Committees on last week on claims that they went against top Jubilee party order not to contest against certain individuals who had been endorsed for specific parliamentary committee positions. The issue is now threatening Jubilee party unity even as Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen say that everything is in control and they have talked and resolved the matter.
