Garissa Township MP Aden Duale paid a courtesy call on Ibrahim Abass, Garissa County Assembly Speaker at his office on Thursday afternoon.
He described Abass, the former Ijara MP (11th Parliment) as someone who has transformed the legislative agenda of the assembly within a year and developed strong relationship with the County Government led by Governor Ali Korane.
During the visit, Duale and Abass toured the Assembly Chambers being refurbished together with county assembly members and Clerk Mohamud Santur.
Duale urged them to work together as a legislative arm with the governor for the benefit of the electorate.
"With Governor Korane's leadership, Speaker Abass and all other elected leaders at both level of Government, Garissa County will go places," said the National Assembly Majority Leader.
