National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has said that Jubilee Party is united and focused in its development agenda.
Mr Duale dismissed claims that there is internal hostility between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
The Garissa Township MP said that Jubilee will remain united under President Kenyatta adding that the Party has the highest number of elected leaders in the country after 15 parties were merged to form Jubilee.
Speaking when he disbursed constituency bursaries at Garissa High School, Mr Duale said the coalition is focused on building peace and unity bridges in the country.
“We have one president and a party leader whom all of us, starting from the deputy president to the lowest person, take orders from him and that is President Uhuru Kenyatta,” he said.
The MP further said that those doubting Jubilee’s unity are in for a rude shock as the leadership is working to unite the country and implement the Big Four agenda.
Mr Duale was reacting to reports that there is growing internal hostility in the Jubilee Party over Mr Ruto’s bid for the presidency in the 2022 elections.
This is following the handshake between President Kenyatta and his rival National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga who agreed to work together after a lengthy meeting that resulted in an agreement on pertinent issues that need to be addressed.
