Speaking during the launch of Garissa High School alumni, Mr Duale said that he fully supports President Kenyatta’s directive that all public servants should undergo a lifestyle audit.

The Garissa Township MP said that he is more than prepared for the exercise adding that the lifestyle audit should have started from 1963 when the country attained independence to date.

Mr Duale said that fight against corruption should not end and that he and those who were fighting the cartels in the country have been maligned on social media.

He further said that those fighting these cartels have also been portrayed to have enriched themselves through corruption to an extent of profiling some communities.

Mr Duale however said that the fight against corruption will continue and that President Kenyatta will leave behind a good legacy should he end corruption in Kenya.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta will leave behind a good legacy should he clear the country out of this mess.”

“We are more than prepared for the lifestyle audit. We must know who owns what. We must clear this country of corruption by knowing the importers of bad sugar, those selling drugs and destroying forests,” he said.

President Kenyatta had announced that a lifestyle audit will be conducted on all public servants, including himself, as the government intensifies the war on graft.
