Member of Parliament for Garissa Township, Aden Duale has said that there is no connection linking the IEBC dialogue and the anti-hate speech case facing Cord legislators.
“CORD cannot pick and choose which rulings to comply with and which to disrespect. Cord leaders have always lectured us on due process. They must practice what they preach,” said Duale on his Twitter account.
This comes in the wake of Cord leader, Raila Odinga’s threats on his Facebook account to pull out of talks to terminate IEBC standoff.
Cord has vowed to continue with demonstrations on Monday to demand the release of the Cord legislators detained over hate speech.
“We will resume our national demonstrations and protests on Monday. We will cease all engagements in dialogue in respect of IEBC and instead intensify the demonstrations and protests,’’ stated Duale.
