The National Majority leader Aden Duale has thanked the outgoing U.S ambassador to Kenya, Bob Godec, for having played a bigger role in deepening the partnership between US and Kenya.
"I wish to thank outgoing ambassador and personal friend Bob Godec for deepening the special partnership between the U.S and Kenya. Kenya and United States of America have enjoyed warm and cordial bilateral and diplomatic relations for more than half a century," said Mr. Duale through his twitter account.
According to the Garissa Township Member of Parliament, the relationship under Godec tenure helped Kenya benefit a lot in numerous sectors and for the first time Kenya hosted a sitting president of the U.S under Godec's time.
"The relationship has seen Kenya benefit in numerous sectors especially education , health care, agriculture, governance, security, trade, investment and other sectors. For the first time, Kenya welcomed a sitting US president," added Duale.
Mr. Duale also welcomed the incoming new US envoy to Kenya, Kyle McCarter as he promise a continued relationship between Kenya and United States.
"Kenya will continue to work with United States in initiating development projects aimed at uplifting the people's lives. We welcome senator Kyle McCarter," said Mr. Duale.
The Illinois State Senator, Kyle McCater was nominated by the United State president, Donald Trump, to replace Bob Godec as U.S ambassador to Kenya.
