Speaking on Sunday Sunday said that president Uhuru Kenyatta has led the line in fighting corruption by even sacrificing his own friend from office.

"This is where we defer with Cord, President Uhuru Kenyatta has shown both in action and spirit his war against corruption. Since he came into office six ministers, including very close friends, have been sacked on mere allegations and a host of PCs and even the DP's chief of staff were shown the door. A number of Jubilee governors have had impeachment motions against them, and we have never defended them," Duale said.

"This shows how committed the Jubilee administration is in the fight against graft," he added

Duale also urged that institutions mandated to fight corruption should be given more power to serve their purpose.

"We must give the institutions that are mandated to fight corruption a chance to do their duty," he said

The legislator also insisted that corruption should be fought in and within government and urged opposition heavyweight Raila Odinga so stop exhibiting double standards when it comes to corruption.
