National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has said that Kenyans will not agree to fight each other because of politics.
Speaking in Bomet on Thursday, Duale urged Kenyans to remain peaceful and vote wisely in next month’s elections.
“I want to tell the opposition leaders that we will never again allow you to incite Kenyans to fight each other because of politics, we know you. What you did in 2007 cannot happen again,” said the majority leader.
Duale further urged Bomet residents to vote for the Jubilee Party and the President, saying they have the best interests of the locals.
During the event, Dr. Joyce Laboso launched her manifesto, as she prepares for an epic battle with incumbent Isaac Ruto.
“With 80 per cent of the county being arable and suitable for crop and livestock production, we intend to utilize the natural resources available to create opportunities for employment and wealth creation,” the Jubilee gubernatorial candidate for Bomet said.
President Kenyatta, who was in attendance, drummed support for Jubilee Party aspirants, as he aims to collect maximu votes from the voter-rich region.
He further underlined the importance of the national government working in unison with the county governments, to realise the goals of devolution.
Jubilee’s tour of the county comes a day after Nasa team led by Raila Odinga toured the area, as the battle for numbers continues.
