Majority Leader in the National Assembly Aden Duale has urged Opposition MPs to join the fight against corruption.
Speaking to journalists at the Parliament Buildings on Tuesday, Duale stated that the opposition should join President Uhuru.
"It is also the cardinal responsibility of the opposition to support the president and his deputy as they purge corrupt elements from the system," said Duale.
Duale further said that the war against graft must continue relentlessly and culprits held accountable.
He also divulged that the National Assembly has made a commitment and will not sit back as public funds are being looted by selfish individuals.
"The investigative authorities as established under the Constitution have the mandate to go full swing and have those implicated in the graft face justice in court, parliament will always endeavour to support this cause,” Duale added.
Duale called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission and the auditor-general as well as the DPP to be professional in prosecuting graft suspect.
Duale made the statements as Public Service and Youth Affairs Principal Secretary Ms Lilian Mbogo and National Youth Service Director-General Mr Richard Ndubai among others among others were arraigned in court over the loss of Ksh9 billion from the NYS scam.NASA on Tuesday revealed that it was collecting information that will nail the 'big fish in the NYS scandal.
