President Uhuru Kenyatta will defeat National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga with a huge margin in the August 8 General Election, Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has said.
According to Duale, Uhuru will beat Raila with at least 70% of the votes cast.
In a tweet which he tagged US Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec, Duale also claimed that the ruling coalition will command massive backing in most counties in the country.
“Jubilee will win by a margin of 70% votes cast and 25% in all the 40 counties,” he tweeted on Thursday.
The politician posted after a meeting with Godec in Parliament buildings to discuss election matters.
"I assured him that the Jubilee Party believes in free, fair and peaceful elections so as to continue with its transformation agenda for the country.
Kenyans should not die on the account of political competition and urged our security agencies to protect the lives and property of our citizens," he further posted.
