National Assembly Leader of Majority Aden Duale has challenged the county government of Garissa under the stewardship of Governor Nathif Jama to deliver on essential services as mandated by the constitution.
Speaking on Saturday at Garissa Boys Secondary School where he presided over a prize giving ceremony, the legislator urged the county administration to uphold integrity and accountability of county funds.
"I want to urge the county leadership of Garissa to be accountable to the people and offer the services required under the devolved governments,'' he said.
Duale's call comes weeks after Garissa Governor Nathif Jama was arraigned in court on charges of abuse of office and irregular leasing of ambulances from the Kenya Red Cross.
