Speaking at Aislein Madarasa, which is the oldest Islamic institution in Iftin ward of Garissa County, Duale urged parents and teachers in the Muslim institution to engage their children in on true Islamic teachings that do not approve radicalisation.

‘'The Muslim community should engage their children on true Islamic teachings in order to fight extreme ideologies that have been associated with the religion,’' Duale stated.

The legislator issued that Muslim religion values the spirit of peace and togetherness, noting that the misguided allegations of Islam religion engaging in terror activities was untrue.

Since the Westgate attack in Nairobi and the Garissa University terror, Muslims across the country have been on the receiving end on criticisms from a section of citizens, accusing them of being behind the spate of attacks on innocent civilians.
