National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale wants leaders of the National Super Alliance (NASA) held responsible for looting that occurred during demonstrations against the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Duale, also Garissa town MP, said that it is unfortunate for NASA supporters to break into property belonging to other Kenyans in the name of seeking for the removal of IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba.
The vocal politician, through an opinion piece published on Standard, said that the economy has continued to suffer since President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win was nullified.
“The country’s economy has been hard hit in the recent past due to unending political campaigns that have been brought about by the nullification of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election” he stated .
The lawmaker also said that the actions of Raila’s supporters is a clear indicator that they are looking for ways to get power through an unconstitutional means, adding that NASA is only good at Chaos.
“The looting of a supermarket in Kisumu by National Super Alliance (NASA) demonstrators is testimony to one thing; the alliance and its leader Raila Odinga only thrives in anarchy and chaos,” he stated.
