Duale accuses Raila of allegedly using the Supreme Court verdict to intimidate the IEBC even as it prepares for repeat poll.
In an interview with Nation, Duale said that Uhuru should be sworn into office for a second term if Odinga boycotts the repeat poll.
The Garissa Township MP claims that Uhuru won fairly in the August 8 presidential poll that was nullified by the Supreme Court.
“We are ready to swear in President Uhuru Kenyatta if Odinga and is group are not ready for repeat election,” he said as quoted by the Daily Nation.
The MP said that Odinga’s demands to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) are causing confusion, anxiety and panic in the country.
He said that NASA leaders do not have the interest of the country and only want to full their own selfish interests.
Duale asked the IEBC to go on with repeat poll preparations as ordered by the court.
He said that Kenyans will wake up to vote on October 17 whether Odinga will be participating or not.
Raila has said that he will not participate in repeat poll until some officers at the IEBC who allegedly bungled the August 8 presidential election are fired.
The NASA leader also wants the IEBC to do its preparations in a transparent manner and involve stakeholders.
Jubilee has however rubbished NASA’s demands saying it is a sign that Odinga is afraid of losing the election.
