Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has warned Jubilee MPs against debating 2022 succession politics.
Duale wants the MPs and politicians to stop the debate and focus on serving people who elected them to office.
Speaking to journalists in Garissa Town on Wednesday, the Jubilee MP said that 2022 succession politics is creating unnecessary political temperatures.
He said that elected MPs have a mandate and work to do adding that 2022 politics will be discussed when the time comes.
“We must stop these debate about 2022 and focus on serving our electorate as elected leaders,” he said.
Duale said that unending political mood is not ‘healthy’ for the country's development agenda.
He asked political analysts and commentators to stop their political predication's and give elected leaders time to deliver.
2022 succession politics in both Jubilee and NASA is already playing out with possible contenders strategize themselves.
A section of politicians allied to Jubilee Party has been quoted saying that it will not be automatic for the region to support Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 bid.
The Deputy President who has declared an interest to contest in 2022 is banking on Uhuru’s blessings whose second term expires in 2022.
Several politicians among them NASA deputy leader Kalonzo Musyoka, governor Alfred Mutua, Hassan Joho and Amason Kingi among others have also declared an interest in the top seat come 2022.
