Garissa Township legislator Aden Duale has called upon school heads and principals to avoid sending students for fees during this drought period.

Duale was speaking on Sunday when issuing CDF bursaries to Garissa Township Constituency.

“I urge school heads and principals to avoid sending students for fees during this drought period by subsiding through government food distribution to all schools,” he said.

The bursaries, amounting to Sh23 Milllion were issued to 2,069 students in the constituency, both public and private schools.

Garissa High School received Sh2 million worth of bursaries for the school project among other schools.

Duale further thanked the parents, teachers and education stakeholders for championing the development of education in his constituency.
