Duale says that Wetangula’s attacks on Raila are unfounded and that he should stop.

Speaking to journalists in Kamukunji, Nairobi county on Saturday, Duale asked Wetangula and ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi to stop the attacks and instead work with other leaders to unite the country.

He defended Raila saying that he is not to blame for Wetangula's ouster as Senate Minority leader three weeks ago.

“Wetangula must stop this nonsense and respect Raila Odinga as a statesman,” he said.

Duale said that Wetangula and Mudavadi have benefited from Raila and must stop being selfish.

He said Wetangula was re-elected courtesy of the former Prime minister and that his insults against Raila depict him as an ungrateful leader.

The leader of the majority in the national Assembly pleaded with Wetangula, Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka to work with the government.

He said that the country needs to remain united and peaceful for development.

Wetangula was ousted as senate minority leader three weeks ago and his position taken by Siaya senator James Orengo.

The Bungoma senator has now vowed to teach Raila a bitter political lesson. On Saturday, Wetangula divorced from NASA saying that he has nothing to do with the Raila Odinga led coalition.

Wetangula also vowed to engage with Raila Odinga who he accused of betraying the Luyha community.
