Majority leader in the National Assembly Aden Duale has welcomed Peter Kenneth to Jubilee Party, assuring him of free and fair nominations ahead of next year's polls.
"We welcome Peter Kenneth to Jubilee and assure him free and fair nominations,” Duale said as quoted by News24.
The Garissa Town MP added that Jubilee is where everyone wants to be.
"Jubilee is a big party and everyone wants to join. We welcome all people. You don't want to be left out," he added.
This comes barely days after Kenneth declared that he will back Uhuru's re-election bid in 2017. Kenneth contested for the Presidency in the 2013 general elections but was unsuccessful.
It is widely believed that Kenneth will vie for Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the next year's polls, although there are chances that he could also vie for the Muranga seat.
