House majority leader and Garissa Town MP Aden Duale has temporarily withdrawn his special motion seeking deployment of the KDF soldiers to Juba town in South Sudan following a request by the UN Security Council.
Duale stated that he withdrew the motion up to next week to allow room for further consultations with the relevant security institutions.
The house leader had moved the motion last Thursday to the legislative house as a matter of urgency, where the debate was to kick off on Wednesday afternoon.
The United Nations Security Council had on August 13 this year authorized the deployment of a four-thousand strong protection force maintain security in Juba city as part of the UN peacekeeping mission in the war torn country of South Sudan.
