The Garissa Township member of parliament on Sunday visited Garissa Special School for the deaf, both primary and secondary.
He then donated desks and assorted foodstuffs to the over 156 students to help in the running of the institution.
Duale later promised that they will continue to equip the school so that students will not have to travel all the way to Maseno or Kerugoya for education as has always been.
In a bid to equip every child with education the member of parliament encouraged parents to enroll the disabled children to get the necessary education.
He as well asked local leaders to make sure that no child is left at home when they are supposed to be in school.
"I encourage parents to enroll the disabled students since education is a universal right. Local leaders should also make sure no child is at home when they are supposed to be in school." Said Duale.
Speaking at Garisa special school for the deaf, Mr. Duale appealed to the Teachers' Service Commission to post more special trained teachers in the school.
He also asked the Ministry of Education to provide the necessary textbooks to be used in teaching sign language.
Furthermore, he promised to consult and work with other Islamic institutions to make sure these students get the necessary education.
"We shall also consult Jamia mosque and other Islamic institutions to post teachers to teach the students Islamic education using sign language," Mr. Duale said.
