Majority leader in the National Assembly, Aden Duale, has urged the 2018 candidates for K.C.P.E and K.C.S.E in the northern region to double their efforts with a view to posting exemplary results.
The lawmaker acknowledged the poor performances in the national exams that have been witnessed in the region for the recent years, challenging the current candidates to spare the region from such embarrassment by taking their studies seriously.
"We cannot allow our county to be ranked worst performed in every annual national examination results. Our students should take their studies seriously in order to make us proud when results of national exams are released annually," said Duale.
The Legislator has further promised to sponsor those candidates who would manage B and above in this year' s national exams.
"Anyone who will manage a grade of B plain and above will get a full scholarship for his or her remaining studies. Now the ball is in your court," added the lawmaker.
Northeastern region performed dismally in the last year national examination, emerging position 45 out of 47 regions.
