He was speaking during the annual Somali Community Cultural Festival held in Eastleigh last month.
This comes after Miguna's dramatic deportation in March.
Mr Duale said Miguna’s Kenyan passport will be handed back to him to facilitate his travel back homeThe vocal Garissa Township MP conceded that Mr Miguna’s deportation to Canada had deeply divided the country.
“His supporters are unhappy… We are going to ensure he is back in the country … We want him back so that we can unite Kenyans and in 2022 he can contest in the general elections,” said Duale.
The controversial lawyer was set to return to the country on Wednesday, but canceled at the last minute citing the refusal of the Immigration Department to grant him a Kenyan passport as ordered by High Court.
